Why hide elements on WordPress website?

Sometimes it happens that we want to hide elements on WordPress website because of irrelevancy. For example, some of the WordPress themes contain the footer link “Proudly Powered by WordPress”. If anybody doesn’t want people to see this message, he/she can remove the code from the Theme Footer (Appearrance-> Editor-> Theme Footer). But sometimes the theme developer keeps the source code hidden so that anybody cannot remove this. In these cases, we can’t remove an element on WordPress website. As a result, we have to use WordPress plugins to hide elements from the WordPress website. As we already discussed other plugins for the WordPress website in the previous posts, today we would like to discuss “Remove Footer Credit” plugin which is an excellent plugin to hide elements on WordPress website.

Step 1

In this step, you have to enter the source code (text/HTML) that you copied and preserved earlier into the given box. Remember that you can enter only one code per line in the box.

Step 2

In this step, you are able to enter your own footer credit that you want to publish into the given box.  Again, enter only one code per line in the box. If you want to keep the place blank where the irrelevant element originally was, just keep this box blank.

Step 3

This is an optional step. This is the step to support this amazing plugin for spreading in the world. If you want to support spreading it, click on the option “Yes, I will support you!” Otherwise, you can choose “No, thanks.” Then, simply hit on the “Save” button.

Now, visit your WordPress site. Check the footer credit. The plugin has already hidden the irrelevant element and highlighted your own footer credit. If you have kept the box blank in the “Step 2”, the place would be kept blank accordingly.
